Answer

a) Causes of Noise Pollution

Noise pollution is a growing environmental issue that affects both urban and rural areas. The primary causes include:

  • Industrial Activities: Factories and construction sites produce loud machinery sounds, which contribute significantly to noise pollution.
  • Transportation: Vehicles, including cars, buses, motorcycles, and airplanes, generate constant noise, especially in busy cities.
  • Domestic Sources: Loud music, television, and household appliances create unnecessary noise in residential areas.
  • Commercial Activities: Markets, shops, and restaurants often operate at high volumes, adding to the noise levels.
  • Social and Cultural Events: Festivals, weddings, and public gatherings frequently involve loudspeakers and music, disturbing the peace.
  • Defective Public Address Systems: Poorly maintained public address systems in streets and public places emit unnecessary noise.

These sources disrupt daily life, leading to health problems such as hearing loss, stress, and sleep disorders.

I am writing to share my wonderful experience from my recent vacation in Chitwan National Park. It was an unforgettable trip filled with adventure and relaxation. I spent a week there with my family, and every moment was truly special.

The journey itself was exciting. We traveled by bus from Pokhara to Chitwan, passing through lush green hills and dense forests. The scenic beauty along the way made the trip even more enjoyable. Upon reaching Chitwan, we checked into a cozy resort near the park. The resort was surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

One of the highlights of our trip was the jungle safari. We spotted various wildlife species, including elephants, rhinoceroses, and numerous bird species. The guide explained so much about their habits and behaviors, which was fascinating. We also enjoyed a thrilling elephant safari ride, which gave us a unique perspective of the park’s beauty.

Apart from the safari, we visited the Tharu Cultural Village, where we learned about the traditional lifestyle of the Tharu community. The cultural dance and music performances were vibrant and full of energy. We also had the opportunity to try traditional Tharu dishes, which were delicious.

The resort provided us with plenty of opportunities for relaxation. We spent our evenings by the river, enjoying the cool breeze and the soothing sounds of nature. The resort’s restaurant served amazing meals, and we tried a variety of local cuisines.

Overall, my vacation in Chitwan was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. It was a great escape from the busy routine of school and city life. I am already looking forward to planning my next trip there.
