Answer

a) Causes of Road Accidents

Road accidents have become a major concern in Nepal, causing loss of life and property every year. Several factors contribute to this alarming situation. Lack of traffic discipline is one of the primary causes, as many drivers and pedestrians ignore traffic rules, leading to collisions. Over-speeding is another significant reason, as drivers often exceed the speed limit, reducing their ability to react to sudden obstacles. Drunk driving further exacerbates the problem, impairing judgment and reaction time. Poor road conditions, including potholes, uneven surfaces, and inadequate lighting, also increase the risk of accidents. Additionally, distractions such as using mobile phones while driving, along with mechanical failures in vehicles, contribute to the rising number of road mishaps. Lastly, lack of awareness about road safety measures among drivers and pedestrians worsens the situation. Addressing these issues through stricter enforcement of traffic laws, public awareness campaigns, and improved infrastructure can help reduce road accidents significantly.

The primary sources of this pollution include vehicle emissions, industrial smoke, and

The situation has become critical, especially for children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing health conditions. Schools have reported a rise in absenteeism due to health issues caused by poor air quality. Despite repeated warnings from health experts, little action has been taken to address this crisis. The government and local authorities must implement stricter emission controls on vehic

Additionally, awareness campaigns should be launched to educate the public about the dangers of air pollution and encourage sustainable practices. It is high time we take collective responsibility to ensure a healthier and cleaner environment for future generations. I urge the concerned authorities to act promptly and introduce effective measures to mitigate this growing threat.
