A dispense bar, also commonly referred to as a service bar, is a specialized bar located within a restaurant or a hotel's back-of-house area. Unlike a public bar, it does not have a seating area or a counter for guests to stand and drink. Its primary function is to prepare and "dispense" alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests seated in the dining room or other outlets through the service staff.

Key characteristics include:

• No Direct Guest Interaction: Bartenders interact only with waiters/servers, not the final customers.
• Efficiency: It is designed for speed to ensure that drink orders reach the tables promptly.
• Location: Often tucked away from the main guest view or located near the kitchen/pantry area.
